|The Foundation does not make grants to individuals, and, while sometimes made to organizations outside the region, the focus of support is within the cities and counties of South Hampton Roads.
The Board of Trustees customarily meets in February, April, July and November to consider grant requests. Deadlines for the submission of proposals for the respective meetings are January 1, March 1, June 1, and October 1. If a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, requests are due the immediately preceding working day. Proposals must be submitted to the Beazley Foundation office, 3720 Brighton Street, Portsmouth, Virginia, 23707. The Trustees reserve the right to, at any time, reschedule a meeting and attendant deadline. All grant proposals must be discussed with the President of the Foundation or his or her designee prior to submission.
Applications not conforming to the foregoing requirements will not be considered by the Foundation.
